Role Field Service Engineer
Salary Circaper annum plus O/T
Type Permanent
Location South East of the UK
My client distributes a range of electromechanical equipment and they are looking to take on a Field Service Engineer on a permanent basis in the South East area. Ideally based near Bedfordshire Northamptonshire or Hertfordshire.
The Field Service Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- NVQ / HNC / HND qualification in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or similar or have the relevant experience
- 3 years or more of experience working in a similar handson Service role covering customer sites
- Have both electrical and mechanical engineering skills and experience
- Previous installation and service experience working with electromechanical equipment
- Have had exposure to working in the food and beverage sector would be desirable
- Be selfmotivated
- Good time management capabilities to organise their own diary and service schedule
- Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
- Proficiency working with MS Office
- Have good communication skills to work well with customers directly
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Forklift Licence would be a bonus but isnt essential as training can be provided
The Field Service Engineer role will involve:
- Working as a key member of the engineering service team
- Working on a range of company sites across the South East (Sussex Surrey Essex mainly)
- Providing onsite installation and technical support for customers equipment
- Completing planned maintenance activities
- Responding to any breakdown calls too
- Checking that all electrical wiring meets the relevant safety standards
- Completing final tests on all work carried out
- Travelling to a range of customer sites when required sometimes at short notice
- Maintaining service records
- Communicating effectively with customers
- Be able to problem solve as required
- Conform to Health & Safety regulations at all time
