Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Transportation and Logistics the Fleet Manager will be responsible for managing maintaining and renewing a rapidly growing transportation fleet of over 85 units across two terminals in Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the preventive maintenance schedule
  • Handle mechanical breakdowns on the road
  • Ensure all equipment complies with Canadian and U.S. government regulations
  • Manage service and rate agreements with suppliers
  • Review equipment specifications with manufacturers and implement new technologies to improve fleet efficiency productivity and safety
  • Manage warranties and claims with suppliers
  • Oversee facility lease agreements and ensure the implementation of safe infrastructure at each of our terminals
  • Monitor the maintenance budget
  • Develop a maintenance strategy aligned with the companys growth objectives
  • Manage inventory of parts tires and consumables
  • Coordinate the sale of endoflife equipment

Qualifications :

  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing a Class 8 truck fleet
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 Suite (Outlook Teams Excel D365)
  • Experience with telematics tools (Motive Samsara Geotab etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of fleet management software (EAM ERP)
  • Strong understanding of Quebec Law 430 and U.S. FMCSA regulations
  • Bilingual in spoken and written English and French (English is essential for serving U.S. clients)
  • Excellent ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced and evolving environment with strong adaptability
  • Effective communication skills
  • Team player with a resultsdriven mindset
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% annually
  • Experience with platform dump and tanker trailers (asset)
  • Class 1 drivers license and truck driving experience (asset)
