Tooling Technician III MidLevel Role
Job Description
The Tooling Technician III position involves working with mold maintenance troubleshooting and repair supporting manufacturing processes and ensuring equipment efficiency.
Shift Options:
- Swing Shift (Alternates weekly):
- Week 1: 7 AM 3 PM
- Week 2: 3 PM 11 PM
- 3rd Shift: 11 PM 7 AM
Responsibilities:
- Follow and assist in developing safety and housekeeping procedures.
- Practical machining (milling lathe turning precision grinding and fine polishing).
- Use metrology equipment and document results.
- Read mold prints 3D renderings and schematics.
- Work with hydraulic pneumatic and electrical systems (cylinders motors valve gate hot runner systems).
- Address cooling venting and steel condition issues in injection molding.
- Communicate effectively between processing production and maintenance teams.
- Document mold setups and assembly procedures.
- Implement mold setup and repair priorities using IQMS and scheduler tools.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks as documented in IQMS.

- Minimum 2 years of machine shop/mold maintenance experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic knowledge of electrical circuits and hydraulics.
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of metrology.
- Proficiency with Windowsbased PC programs.
- MIG/TIG welding experience is a plus.
