About the Role
As a Veterinary Technician you will be an integral part of the veterinary team assisting veterinarians in diagnostics surgery patient care and client education. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in surgical procedures and monitoring anesthesia.
- Collecting and processing laboratory samples (bloodwork urinalysis cytology etc.).
- Performing radiographs and other diagnostic imaging.
- Administering medications vaccines and treatments as directed by veterinarians.
- Educating pet owners on postsurgical care treatment plans and preventive healthcare.
- Handling and restraining animals safely and compassionately.
- Maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring hospital cleanliness and efficiency.
Who Were Looking For:
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) preferred but open to experienced noncertified technicians.
- Active Pennsylvania veterinary technician license (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Minimum of 1 years of clinical experience in a veterinary setting.
- Proficiency in surgical assistance laboratory diagnostics and animal handling.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with veterinarians and support staff.
- Commitment to providing compassionate highquality care for animals and their owners.
