Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and direct comprehensive public awareness programs (PAP) community outreach program for the agency in the areas of prevention and public awareness targeting highrisk populations.
  • Review revise and develop policy and procedures and financial records regarding PAP.
  • Supervise the Sergeant assigned to community outreach programs and conduct onsite monitoring of such programs/services.
  • Coordinate and supervise operation behind bars providing technical assistance and onsite evaluation in their development of programs and services in the areas of delinquency crime prevention and early intervention.
  • Represent agency on task forces relative to communitybased strategies for crime control safe schools and neighborhoods.
  • Maintain all PAP data in the automated system for scheduling presentations & retention of statistical information.
  • Serve as liaison on state and local Levels concerning SCDCs goal in promoting collaborative efforts with schools and communities in crime prevention.

Must successfully complete eight (8) week SCDC Basic Training upon hire.
