Inspector OperatorPosition Overview
INSPECTOR OPERATOR RESPONSIBILITIES FI100G Issue Date: 07/03/09
Position Objective: Inspect finished board quality and mark all defects that exceed product specifications. This is done safely and efficiently with the maximum amount of production and a minimal amount of offquality
Essential Duties: (Considering job knowledge job environment effort manipulative skill judgment safety knowledge and responsibility):
1. Visually inspect all products for defects and grading according to product specifications.
2. Mark any defects with chalk so that they are sent to the defecting department.
3. Control line operation form portal to stacker.
4. Communicate any offquality concerns with technician lead or supervisor.
5. Left line inspector will gather six (6) planks every twenty (20) minutes for color check.
6. Keep machines and work area clean and free of dust.
7. Assist technicians during changeover.
8. Adjust the magazine at plank stacker during change over.
9. Be familiar with all product specifications and grading standards.

1. Must be a team player
2. Take an active role in committees.
3. Crosstraining for other jobs on finishing line.
Physical Requirements: 1. Must be able to bend squat and stoop several times a day.
2. Must be able to stand for 8 12 hours a day.
3. Must be able to climb stairs several times throughout the day.
4. Must be able to assist in lifting up to 75 lbs. several times a day.
5. Must be able to lift 3550 lbs. on a regular basis throughout the day.
6. Must be able to handle the stress of meeting goals and production requirements.
7. Must be able to visualize defects in the product.
8. Must be able to visualize color defects in the product.
Other Requirements:
1. Basic reading writing and math ability.
2. Must be capable of learning and performing additional operations
3. Must be capable of being trained on current computer systems and software. Training Requirements:
1. On the job training
2. Must have all OSHA SAFE SMS and plant specific training.
3. Training on current plant computer systems and software.
Tool Equipment & Material Requirements:
1. Safety Glasses
2. PPE listed on JHA
Safety & Security Requirements:
1. Must comply with all required OSHA SAFE and plant specific safety rules and regulations.
