Job Description
GreenXT is seekingJunior System Engineersto support their Navy customer in the areas of Cybersecure Hull Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) Control Systems and Networks.

Responsibilities:
- Lifecycle support of the supervisory Machinery Control System (MCS) which includes but is not limited to:
- Troubleshooting complex problems of current and future fielded systems (microprocessor/Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based control systems) both at Land Based Engineering Site (LBES) and shipboard
- Review of technical documentation related to all variants of fielded systems and future fielded systems
- Provide test support for all variants of fielded systems at LBES
- Provide shipboard Software (SW) and Hardware (HW) installation support of all variants of fielded systems at LBES
- Provide technical input to the design of future MCS systems
- Develop and review technical documentation that includes but is not limited to requirements documents design documents test procedures test plans installation procedures engineering analysis and standard operating procedures
- Provide distance and onsite customer support as necessary
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Systems Engineering or Computer Engineering is required
- 03 years of experience in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering as it pertains to control systems in an industrial environment
- Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain this clearance upon position acceptance) will be required
- Candidate must be available to travel at times up to 20%
- Experience with the design development and testing of industrial control systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics diagrams and drawings
- Experience in the use of test tools associated with industrial control systems
- Experience in the use of diagnostic tools associated with industrial control system troubleshooting
- Experience in documentation
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite applications
- Proficiency in basic computer/laptop use including advanced operations
- Basic knowledge of network troubleshooting tools
- Proficient Technical writing ability
- Selfmotivated and ability to complete tasks efficiently
- Ability to communicate effectively within an integrated hybrid team environment
- Ability to work on and climb ladders aboard ships in shipyards under industrial conditions and in confined spaces (if needed) with the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ability to lift carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job but nothing greater than 30 lbs.
Desired but not required:
- Knowledge of US Navy Ship Systems
- Atlassian tools suite Jira/ Wiki/ confluence
- Microsoft Project
- Prior industrial shipyard and shipboard experience
- A combination of software and hardware installation experience
- Familiarity with IEC 611313 standard
- Experience upgrading hardware platforms of Legacy Embedded Systems
- Experience with ISO/IEC/IEEE Systems and Software Standards
