Position Overview:
The CT Technologist coordinates and produces quality computerized tomography (CT) studies and assists in CT guided procedures. The technologist must demonstrate and exercise critical thinking skills knowledge of crosssectional anatomy/physiology radiation safety venipuncture and safe medication administration specific to contrast media and adjunct medications. The technologist is responsible for the safe operation of sophisticated imaging and ancillary equipment to produce quality CT procedures.
The CT Technologist ensures accurate documentation and image transmission and storage professional and effective communication and demonstrates knowledge of ageappropriate criteria when working with all patients which include high risk and critically ill patients. Responsible for accurate charge capture and documentation.
Population served includes neonatal pediatric adolescent adult and geriatrics.

EDUCATION:
- Graduation from an JRCERT accredited Radiologic Technologist Program
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
- CRTCertified Radiologic Technologist
- BLSBasic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- RHFRadiology Fluoroscopy within 180 Days of hire if required at the affiliate
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- General knowledge of diagnostic computerized tomography principles procedures views and equipment including some experience responding to traumas and various hospital emergencies.
- Capable of performing routine CT examinations as well as a basic understanding of human anatomy physiology pathology and medical terminology.
- Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences including nonmedical people.
- Welldeveloped time management and organizational skills including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadline.
- General knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel and Outlook) and related information systems (Radiology (RIS) laboratory (LIS) electronic health records (EHR) EPIC and picture archive and communication system (PACS).
- Prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Work independently as well as be part of the team including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.
- Identify evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.
- Ensure the privacy of each patients protected health information (PHI).
- Build collaborate relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.

Pay Range is $72.87 to $72.87 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidates experience education skills licensure and certifications department equity training and organizational needs.
