Note:Work schedule for this position will be Monday through Thursday 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Flexibility in schedule may be required to meet department needs.This position is eligible for shift differential pay for all applicable hours.
This fulltime position is responsible for providing administrative and academic support to students staff instructors and community members at the ACC Sturm Collaboration Campus. Other major duties include: supervising student employees closing campus receptionist duties assisting students with application/registration processes helping faculty with classroom needs firstline technology support assist with setup and tear down for campus events and light housekeeping as needed.
This position serves the academic and administrative needs as the front desk receptionist for visitors guests students faculty and staff. Duties include (but are not limited to) greeting people at the counter handling phone calls answering all general questions proctoring tests providing technical assistance to the faculty/students ordering office supplies and serving as the first line responder to any immediate concerns i.e. pests broken copier or facility issues etc. Assists the Campus Director Associate Director and Campus Navigators as requested. Provides administrative support for Cyber and Health Lab as needed. Supervises and supports the hiring onboarding and training processes for student workers. Builds and maintains staffing schedules for the Sturm Welcome Desk. Other duties as assigned.
Provides assistance to prospective students with application questions and registration process. Assists students and guests with scheduling appointments for admissions academic advising testing tours and other student services needed. Helps students with enrollment and registration processes guiding them through basic skills of using ACC platforms (i.e. Navigate Web Application myACC and email). Answers general questions regarding tuition payment deadlines refunds prerequisite requirements course schedules and course catalog. Supports Student Life and Associate Dean of Students with logistics and planning of campus events at ACC Sturm. Serves as testing proctor once a week in the evening. Supports Campus Navigators and other ACC entities such as the ACC Foundation with outreach and various projects including data entry.Utilizes several computer programs such as Banner for student information Microsoft Office 365 on a daily basis to include Word to compose correspondence maintain reports edit and distribute memos etc. and Excel to update and maintain various databases; Outlook to maintain calendars and appointments.
This position is responsible for closing the campus and ensuring all endofday procedures are completed. Responsibilities include verifying that classrooms are properly set up for the next days activities powering equipment on or off as needed reporting classroomrelated issues to IT and notifying the Facilities Department of any facility concerns.

Experience Only:
Two (2) years of clerical experience as listed above performed as the primary function of the job. Daily interaction with students faculty and staff require that this position have strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills. Computer literacy is a must. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary for success in this position. Do not use SEE RESUME statements on application; your application must be completed in detail and clearly document your relevant work experience. (Part time experience will be prorated).
Education and Experience:
College university or noncorrespondence business school course work from an accredited institution in Business or similar field may substitute for the clerical experience on a year for year basis. You must submit a copy of your transcripts with your application in order to be considered. Please redact agerelated information on your transcript.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience involving a wide range of clerical responsibilities. Working knowledge of Banner or similar system. High level of speed and accuracy regarding data entry. Attention to detail (ability to check for typographical grammatical and spelling errors etc.). Experience and ability to work in a fast paced customer service and data entry environment and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting targeted deadlines. Experience with problem solving processes. Understand and determine appropriate rules and regulations from various sources. Knowledge in extracting information from various reports. Prior work experience at a community college or other academic environment. Ability to deal with a diverse population with discretion and tact.
