Job Description

Job Title:Transportation Coordinator

Department: Transportation

Education Level and Certification: High school degree or GED. Must maintain at all times during employment an unrestricted motor vehicle operators license and a satisfactory driving record that meets requirements of Board policy.

Reports To: Director of Transportation

Performance Responsibilities and Job Tasks:

  1. Assist the Director of Transportation with the organization oversight and implementation of the Transportation Department and all of the obligations and programs within the Transportation Department.
  2. Coordinates with District staff parents students and community stakeholders regarding regular and special transportation schedules including field trips and activities and other transportation issues that may arise.
  3. Work cooperatively professionally and at the direction of the Director of Transportation.
  4. Develop and maintain a professional and collegial relationship with District administrators and staff as well as parents and community stakeholders.
  5. Prepares and maintains a variety of reports and records related to student transportation.
  6. Adhere to the transportation regulations of the Nebraska Department of Education and United States Department of Transportation.
  7. Perform other tasks or duties as assigned by the Director of Transportation or other supervisors.

Working Conditions

  1. In an office or enclosed vehicle or equipment.
  2. Minimal exposure to weather conditions.
  3. Regular dependable inperson attendance is an essential function of the job position.

FLSA Exempt Status: Nonexempt.

AtWill Position. This position is an atwill position and may be terminated with or without cause at any time in the sole discretion of the Superintendent or Superintendents designee.
