JOB SUMMARY

Epiq Solutions is seeking a fulltime Senior Product Test Engineer with at least three years of handson experience to join our team developing and testing Epiqs software defined radio (SDR) product line. The primary responsibility of this role is to architect and implement automated test solutions for the various boardlevel and systemlevel products developed by Epiq. This involves creating hardware test harnesses and software to test devices control electronic test equipment (e.g. RF signal generators spectrum analyzers power supplies) collect performance data and generate test reports. The ideal candidate should have new product introduction (NPI) experience taking a product from initial design and requirements gathering to final production testing and support. The candidate would work closely with both our engineering team as well as our production team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with engineering teams to identify develop and document the required testing scenarios for Epiqs products from concept to production
• Develop software libraries for controlling various electronic test equipment including RF signal generators spectrum analyzers power supplies temperature chambers etc. via GPIB serial ethernet or other standard interfaces
• Architect and implement complete automated test software applications for Epiqs products
• Develop documentation capturing the details of the test procedures
• Generate test results reports and recommendations for review by both engineering and production teams
• Provide training on test procedures to production staff
• Support production team in resolving yield and build issues

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent experience
• Significant realworld NPI experience (minimum 3 years) developing software to drive automated test equipment (ATE) in one or more programming languages (Python preferred) for electronic products
• Basic understanding of RF concepts and measurement techniques
• Able to read and interpret schematics PCB layout and assembly documents for electronic printed circuit boards
• Comfortable working with engineering staff to develop test procedures and documentation
• Design and build test harnesses/fixtures which will be used in production testing
• Selfstarter with strong troubleshooting skills
• Able to multitask between two or more projects

DESIRED SKILLS

• Experience using Linux and developing software applications that run on Linuxbased computer systems
• Advanced understanding of RF performance metrics such as noise figure spurious free dynamic range image rejection etc.
• RF testing experience at 18GHz and 40 GHz
• Experience testing products that utilize highspeed backplanes such as 3U/6U VPX and PXI form factors
• Experience with temperature shock burnin and environmental testing (including MILSTD 810G)
• Comfortable with using Git version control software
• Comfortable with Atlassian tools such as BitBucket and Jira
