Job Description
Job Title: Hypersonic Aeropropulsion Test Analyst
Location: Arnold AFB TN Tullahoma TN

Duties:
Working with minimal supervision performing engineering analysis and modeling functions in a variety of technical areas including:
- Aeropropulsion analysis
- Fluidthermalstructural interaction (FTSI)
- Computational heat transfer
- Optical diagnostic techniques
- Statistical methods and statistically defensible analysis techniques
Working as part of a multidisciplinary government and contractor team to plan test analyze and report through multiple program acquisition phases by:
- Assisting in coordination and generation of requirements and analysis objectives measures of performance and success criteria which support the evaluation of hypersonic weapon systems
- Advising/assisting the government and customers during the test planning process including assessing test conditions and addressing test cell/test article interactions.
- Leading Technical Review Boards.
- Performing indepth analysis of test data to meet analysis objectives.
- Preparing quick look reports and detailed technical reports as appropriate to record test planning data processing and analysis and conclusions/recommendations.
- Reviewing stateoftheart test and analysis techniques in literature and applying them to specific project requirements and supporting analysistechnique development efforts to advance the stateoftheart analysis capabilities at AEDC.
- Learning and effectively using a variety of government and inhouse simulation codes and analysis tools.
- Working in a fastpaced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
Requirements:
- A Bachelors degree or higher in Physics Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering. Seeking undergrads looking to acquire graduate level degrees
- 03 years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency with Scientific Python (primary code) and MATLAB (secondary).
- The ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with senior staff and peers.
- Communications must be clear concise and at the appropriate level.
- Must be timely efficient and produce work of acceptable quality.
- Completed work must meet project/program objectives
- Must exhibit and foster cooperation and teamwork enhance customer relations and actively promote rapport with customers.
Desired Qualifications
- Masters degree or higher in Physics Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
Security Clearance: The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
