Job Title
Plant 81 Finishing (Coater) Rollup Operator Shift 3Position Overview
Position Objective:
Cut rolls based on the cut plan given to them by the computer.
Essential Duties:
Operate the roll up machine
Cut carpet based on the cut plan given by the computer unless instructed to do otherwise by the Lead/Supervisor.
Ensure that cores are available in roll up with the cut bands on the cores
Cut samples for testing when instructed
Follow Appropriate LOTO procedures
Physical Requirements:
Frequently required to reach handle stand stoop climb ladder listen operate console and monitor computer screens
Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
Occasionally required to reach handle walk kneel climb and crouch
Work in a normal industrial environment with inherent background noise dirt humidity and temperature variations
Safety & Security Requirements:
This position has the responsibility and authority to report to management any safety problems and potential problems encountered while performing the job
This position has the responsibility of the quality and safety of his/her own output and their coworker
Use extreme caution when working around the roll up machine. Must use proper
Lock Out procedure before climbing into roll up
Must wear safety glasses at all times
Use extreme caution around all moving parts
