Job Description

Generations Home Care is a locally owned agency and operates with the mission of helping people truly enjoy life at home. Our work positively impacts the greater Spokane community and at the center of all we do are our care staff. We are currently looking to fill our caregiver supervisor role. This is a critical role and is vital for agency health. A successful individual in this role would have extensive home care experience in both caregiving and the administrative side. Previous scheduling experience along with a foundational understanding of home care operations (hiring credentialing client assessments) and experience relating to caregivers in different settings is necessary. Traits of this individual would likely include adaptability decisiveness a passionate work ethic patience teamwork and a positive mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Be the main point of contact for caregiver concerns and questions
  • Be willing to listen and be a caregiver advocate
  • Caregiver reviews
  • Caregiver reprimands
  • Caregiver skills training
  • Caregiver onsite visits
  • Caregiver hiring and orientation support
  • Caregiver credentialing support
  • Backup scheduling
  • Oncall work

Qualifications

  • Previous caregiving experience
  • Previous home care administrative experience
  • Experience training caregivers on home care aide skills
  • HCA/CNA certified or willing to go through the process
  • High level organizational and communication skills
  • Team oriented attitude
  • Energetic about people caregivers and seeing the potential in them

This position is fulltime in office position. The working hours are MonFri 8am4:30pm with a rotating oncall schedule. Weekly hour responsibilities will vary butmight look similar to:

  • 10 hours of caregiver reviews and reprimands
  • 510 hours of caregiver skills training
  • 510 hours of onsite visits
  • 5 hours of caregiver checkin calls
  • 510 hours of hiring orientation and scheduling support
  • 36 hours of oncall work (usually one night a week and one weekend day a month)
