Private family looking hire a Cook in Wading River NY.
The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for a warm reliable and proactive Private Family Cook to support our household of 4 (3 adults 1 child) by preparing daily meals that help create smoother routines and bring our family together around the table. The ideal candidate will take charge of breakfast each morning helping us establish a consistent and calm start to the day by having a balanced nourishing meal ready for the family. In the afternoons wed love to have dinner prepared so its either ready to serve or easily finished and plated when the time comes. Our daughter comes home from school around 3:30 PM and typically eats dinner then so having the meal ready at that time is important.
We value meals that are healthy and wellbalanced a bonus if it can reflect our cultural roots. Caribbean food Haitian cooking would be a wonderful fit for our familys preferences along with other staples like pasta and other basics. The ability to plan meals in advance cook with nutritional balance in mind and bring creativity to family dinners is essential. We do have one relative grandma living with us who is diabetic. Experience cooking for and an understanding of their dietary needs is needed. Some light tidying up of the common areas will be needed as well as cleaning up the kitchen after usegroceryshopping and other light details. No pets in the home. One child who is 8yrs.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being part of a familys rhythm bringing calm to busy mornings and comfort to shared dinners. If you have experience in private cooking a passion for Caribbean cuisine and a desire to make a meaningful impact on a familys daily life through food wed love to hear from you.
What Works Best for Family: Kind organized proactive. Familiarity with Caribbean food or cooking a plus. Someone who can take the cooking task off of moms mental plate.
