BGS is seeking a P8 Wire Design & Wire Install Design Engineer in Jacksonville Florida to support the P8 Modification Program. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate or MidLevel Engineer.

Position Responsibilities:

• Work with crossfunctional teams (Manufacturing Quality Planning and other Engineering groups) to assess and implement wire design/wire installation changes
• Create Production Action Requests (PARs) in EWITS as required
• Ensure that PARs provide all pertinent information for the customer and followon commodities
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in wiring diagrams and between wiring diagrams and functional schematics to ensure design accuracy and functional alignment of the system
• Diagnose and resolve test failures related to wire routing signal integrity or electrical connectivity (e.g. how improper bend radius or incorrect coax routing can cause signal failures)
• Perform onaircraft investigations to support troubleshooting of wiring discrepancies including connector pinouts harness damage continuity faults and configuration mismatches
• Coordinate with design engineering manufacturing and quality teams to validate and implement corrective actions for discovered wiring issues

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science
• 2 years experience with wire design drawings including system interconnects wire routing and equipment installation drawings

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 5 years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience working with mechanics/shop floor for troubleshooting
• Experience with P8 or 737
• Proven knowledge of various data bus types bend radius requirements and fiber
• Experience in design from initial requirements through final install
• Active U.S. Security Clearance
