QUALIFICATIONS:A registered nurse with a valid license to practice in Massachusetts. A Bachelors or Masters Degree in nursing with a minimum of two full years ofemployment as a registered nurse in a child health community health or other relevant clinical nursing setting. Licensure as a school nurse from theMassachusetts State Department of Elementary and Secondary OF POSITION:To maintain the School Health Office and implement guidelines from theMassachusetts Department of Public Health and Massachusetts Departmentof Elementary and Secondary Education. Provide necessary medical intervention and distribution of medication as RESPONSIBILITIES: and assists with physical examinations of students by a records on required immunizations for all new studentsand school personnel within legal and provides leadership in emergency medical careand first aid for sudden illness or student medication as required by a physician while maintaining the security and vision hearing and other screening procedures in compliancewith state and federal students regarding personal all health records and emergency cards for all staff & studentsand other relevant information necessary to the efficient operationof the School Health to frequently encountered health concerns (illnesses) andhealth related issues:a. child abuse/neglect b. substance abuse/usec. nutritiond. adolescent pregnancye. hygienef.
