Position Overview: As an Industrial Engineer you will apply industrial engineering concepts and techniques to optimize products processes and services in alignment with program requirements. You will develop plant layouts capacity plans and workflows while evaluating new technologies for integration into production and service operations.
Job is in support of: MQ25 Stingray: The first unmanned aerial refueler for the U.S. Navy enhancing the capabilities of carrierbased operations.
Key Responsibilities
Leads the development and application of advanced industrial engineering concepts approaches and techniques to product process and services to meet program requirements.
Consults on the development of complex plant and equipment layouts capacity plans accident prevention measures sequencing of operations and work flows.
Recommends new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations.
Designs maintains and optimizes the production system by integrating design supply base facilities equipment and personnel.
Establishes standards for work flow design and analysis.
Develops models databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provides summary analysis and metrics to solve complex problems and provide consultation to senior leadership and customers.
Directs research design development improvement and implementation of complex processes and tools to enhance schedule performance lower cost and improve quality for large scale systems integration and asset utilization.
Consults on plans and programs for facility/factory modifications and revisions to operating methods.
Evaluates product assembly instructions and standardizes assembly practices.
Oversees operations planning includes work statement analysis budgeting and forecasts capacity and constraint analysis and production change to ensure technical goals and objectives are met.
Manages execution planning by using project management planning and scheduling and shop load practices.
Consults on production supply chain logistics performance visibility and recovery planning support for a program.
Initiates compliance actions to align to established industry safety design standards and ergonomic guidelines.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.
An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance PostStart is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science.
Level 5: 14 years of workrelated experience with a Bachelors degree OR and equivalent combination of technical education and experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
Experience working closely with manufacturing assembly line technicians helping support their
efforts
Typical Education & Experience:
Level 5: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) computer science engineering data science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or nonUS equivalent qualifications. In the USA ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard.
