You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Aurora RVIII School District is currently accepting applications for an Instructional Coach/Curriculum Specialist in the Jr. High School for theschool year. The primary role of the coach is to build teacher capacity and understanding of instructional practices related to effective implementation of the Missouri Learning Standards. The Coach/Specialist will serve as part of the schools leadership team providing just in time jobembedded and ongoing professional development for teachers staff and administration. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: collaborates regularly with staff for instructional planning coteaching and modeling of effective instructional strategies; collaborates with supervisors on curriculum development; collaborates with districtlevel staff developers to plan and implement learning opportunities for staff; support teachers and administrators in using data to improve curriculum instruction and assessment on all levels; support the integration of technology in the instructional program; collaborate with district level and building level administrators to develop coordinate and support induction and continued professional learning for new teachers; support vertical alignment and scope/sequence between the various grade levels. Qualifications and technical skills requirements include but are not limited to: possesses a valid Missouri Teaching Certificate; has five or more years of teaching experience; Masters degree or higher (preferred); demonstrates evidence of improving student achievement in the classroom; has experience in coaching/mentoring scenarios; and exhibits excellent presentation skills. Salary will be tied to the Aurora RVIII Certified Salary Schedule plus an extended day contract. Benefits include a Boardpaid health insurance stipend and paid sick/personal leave.
