Summary of Position

Responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient daily operations of the waterpark working closely with the Waterpark Manager and leadership team to ensure the delivery of safe efficient and highquality aquatic services and experiences. This position is responsible for assisting in the supervision of aquatic staff maintenance of waterpark facilities and implementation of operational protocols.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and manage a large team
  • Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities
  • Ability to move frequently throughout the large facility
  • Standing and walking for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
  • Must be able to speak read write and communicate in English to adequately perform the duties of the job
  • excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Certified lifeguard and CPR/First Aid trained
  • Thorough understanding of waterpark safety regulations and best practices
  • Ability to inspire and motivate team members to work together and exceed expectations
  • Projects a positive public relations image for staff and guests
  • Must show initiative including anticipating guest or operational needs
  • Ability to work varying schedules that include evenings weekends holidays and extended hours as business dictates.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
  • Bachelors degree in Recreation Management Aquatics or related field preferred but not required
  • 2 years of Supervisory Experience
  • Lifeguard Management Course (must be obtained if hired)
  • StarGuard ELITE Lifeguard certification or equivalent Lifeguard Certification
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certification
  • Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word Power Point Excel and Outlook and other required systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

Operational Support:

Assist the Waterpark Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the waterpark to ensure smooth and safe functioning.


  • Support the implementation and enforcement of departmental policies procedures and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and execute operational plans that align with organizational goals.
  • Maintain open professional communication with guests team members and leadership helping to resolve concerns with tact and diplomacy.
  • Support team supervision efforts including coaching training conflict resolution and performance feedback

Safety:

Promote a culture of safety cleanliness and high service standards by participating in routine inspections and ensuring readiness for audits and inspections.

Assist in maintaining required documentation operating procedures and signage related to waterpark safety and compliance

Staff Management:

  • Monitor team performance and provide input to help ensure accountability adherence to policies and achievement of performance goals.
  • Assist in identifying and setting individual and team objectives to meet departmental targets.
  • Work in close coordination with the Waterpark Manager and Directors to continuously improve operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of ongoing programs and activities to enhance the guest experience.

Other Duties:

Performs other related duties as assigned by the Waterpark Managers/Directors.
