Current Need:

Reporting to the Chief Data Officer (CDO) the Sr. Director Data Platform Product Owner will be responsible for managing the creation and execution of data solutions that cover the full spectrum of health data capture analysis and transformation into a suite of services and offerings. This role will be a pivotal role within the CDO organization responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Data Platform and will involve strategic planning product development team leadership and ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development of infrastructure and processes to integrate and manage complex multimodal datasets (e.g. text images audio structured/unstructured data).

  • Lead collaboration across crossfunctional teams including product engineering and business leadership to align data initiatives with broader strategic organizational.

  • Define own and drive specific areas of data solution and technology architecture. Provide architectural solutions/designs to support sales and project execution teams for implementation.

  • Gain insights into customer used cases challenges and success metrics to champion product development focused on user needs.

  • Translate customer requirements into swift action planning to facilitate rapid iteration and development.

  • Maintain deep understanding of the evolving market and competitive landscape for our data platform portfolio to ensure strategic positioning and continuous improvement.

  • Define KPIs and incorporate qualitative & quantitative insights into daytoday decisionmaking and strategy evolution.

  • Partner with internal customers to develop positioning messaging and external communications by deeply understanding target audiences competition and industry trends.

  • Build mentor and lead a high performing team of product owners and data analysts; foster a culture of collaboration innovation and operational excellence.

Minimum Requirement:

  • Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 13 years of professional experience AND 6 years of diversified leadership experience.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Medical Informatics Life Sciences Biotechnology Computer Science or related disciplines. Advanced degree (Master or Ph.D.) in Life Sciences or Business Administration is preferred.

Key Requirements:

  • 13 years experience in data related leadership roles within healthcare organizations preferably in a startup or high growth environment.

  • Deep expertise in data architecture multimodal data integration and machine learning pipelines.

  • 6 years experience in leading technical product management (from conception to launching successful large scale data products)

  • Ability to work with diverse teams (Sales Research and Developers) to convert product ideas into requirements.

  • Proficiency with multimodal data formats (e.g. JSON parquet CCDA) and technologies (e.g. NLP) for integrating unstructured text image and structured datasets

  • Understanding of healthcare data (EHR claims imaging genetics) and common data models (mCODE FHIR) and code systems (ICD10CM SNOMED LOINC etc.); oncology data experience is preferred.

  • Strong understanding of data governance and privacy frameworks (GDPR HIPAA etc.).

Additional Knowledge/Skills:

  • Database modeling and architecture is a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead crossfunctional teams and drive collaboration between commercial technology and life science stakeholders.

  • Excellent verbal written and presentation skills and ability to communicate in customerfacing scenarios as well as highly technical conversations.

  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit; high energy level sense of urgency responsive and willing to roll up their sleeves.

  • Exceptional leadership & mentorship abilities with a focus on fostering a collaborative highperforming team

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills including the ability to articulate technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance shortterm execution with longterm vision.

Work Conditions:

  • Heavy remote role within the United States.

  • Up to 20% travel required.
