The Revenue Cycle Representative is responsible for processing charges and bill claims to various payers transmitting paper claims and manually posting remittances. This role will coordinate encounterlevel reviews with the followup and coding teams to ensure accurate claims data. The Revenue Cycle Specialist manages the selfpay processes including patientfacing communication.
While this is a remote position the Revenue Cycle Specialist will be required to live in Washington state or Texas by time of hire.
What youll do:
Bill unbilled encounters to various commercial payers.
Generate and transmit electronic claims; manage payer requests for paper claims.
Post insurance and thirdparty liability (TPL) denials and payments; assign balances to the next responsible party.
Monitor and resolve items in claims and billingrelated work queues.
Investigate and address unpaid billed encounters.
Collaborate with coders and team members to review and resolve encounterlevel issues.
Manually post and correct charges adjustments and writeoffs as needed.
Process financial assistance requests from patients as needed.
What youll bring:
Associates degree or two years relevant experience.
Three years administrative or customer service experience in a healthcare setting.
Three years working with Epic conducting billing workflows.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills as applicable for role responsibilities.
Excellent organizational and problemsolving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of management and staff.
Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Detailoriented with the ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment.
Bachelors degree or four (4) years relevant experience. (Preferred)
Experience with Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans. (Preferred)
Working Environment
Work is primarily performed in an office setting within a healthcare organization which may include proximity to patient care areas.
The work environment is quiet but may involve some interruptions highpaced demands and interactions with various departments.
Occasional travel may be .
This role will require the ability to navigate within clinical or administrative areas of a healthcare organization.

National Plus Salary Range:
$53700.00 $80600.00*National Plus salary range is used in higher cost of labor markets including Western Washington and Alaska.
