Role description:

Arcadis seeks an experiencedQA/QC Managerto join the Mobility Design and Engineering group as a parttime as needed team member. This role will serve as a part of the project quality team to help our teams meet project technical and quality process requirements.

The QA/QC Manager fills various key quality roles within the Mobility D&E Group. Examples of such roles are Quality Control Manager within the design team Independent Quality Assurance Manager working for the contractor and Independent Verification working for the client. The position requires an indepth understanding of design of mobility infrastructure including roadway bridges and structural engineering toensure that the engineering designs construction processes and project deliverables meet specified technical requirements (design standards codes client requirements) and quality standards.

Role accountabilities:

• Collaboration with Project Delivery Technical and Quality Management team to develop and implement a comprehensive quality program for large design build and other alternative delivery projects.
• Evaluate and incorporate Arcadis best practices from other Business Areas to systematically enforce technical requirements quality standards procedures and best practices.
• Facilitate compliance with and review of engineering designs calculations and drawings to ensure compliance with applicable codes standards and project specifications.
• Work closely with project teams to provide guidance on qualityrelated matters during the design phase.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures in relevant Technical Assurance areas to standardize process and procedures.
• Collaborate with project teams to enhance and streamline the quality process to optimize project schedule and fee performance.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate quality measures seamlessly into the designbuild and other alternative project delivery methods.
• Conduct regular internal and external audits to evaluate compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop training programs to support integration of new team members into design teams.
• Prepare and present regular reports to management on the status of quality initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:

• 20 Years of experience in the transportation design build industry.
• Bachelors degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

Key Skills and Abilities:

• Proven experience as design engineer or design manager.
• Substantial background in design of highways and bridges.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing quality programs.
• Indepth knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detailoriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with quality management systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PE
• Experience working with state DOTs

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors such as experience education budget internal equity project and location.
