Raytheon has an opportunity for an energetic motivated and selfdirected Environment Health and Safety (EHS) Professional to support our ongoing sustainability compliance and risk reduction efforts at the Louisville KY manufacturingsite offers the EHS professional anopportunity totry new things expand the range of discipline knowledge work with manufacturing and support teams to foster employee engagement drive risk reduction andcontinuous improvement of the EH&S program.

What You Will Do

  • Recognize evaluate and control hazardous workplace conditions.

  • Serve as handson collaborative partner to create and implement EHS initiatives that drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of safety for our employees and contractors.

  • Take proactive steps to ensure the safety and health of site employees and influencing safe behaviors.

  • Investigating analyzing and interpreting data from injuries and nearmisses ensuring corrective actions are completed on time and all necessary documentation is in place.

  • Interact with employees and promote relationships learn the tasks employees perform and be known as a resource to the employees at the site. Work toward building partnerships and influencing across assigned areas to provide actionable improvement programs.

  • Execute initiatives programs reports and trainings across multiple EH&S disciplines as required to achieve and maintain compliance.

  • Support the sites environmental compliance programs including but not limited to hazardous waste management stormwater and groundwater protection plans air quality permitting wastewater and toxic chemical reporting.

  • Develop implement maintain sustainability practices and programs related to waste water and greenhouse gases in alignment with the sites longterm goals.

  • Interpret and audit current policies procedures and documentation to assure compliance with applicable laws and regulations (e.g. OSHA EPA DOT NIOSH ANSI NFPA)

  • Work with subject matter experts to assure compliance with applicable federal state local and company EHS requirements

  • Position requires limited travel for participation in company seminars EHS audits and training opportunities.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field

  • Experience in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Demonstrated experience in Industrial Hygiene (IH) initiatives including IH monitoring and industrial/office ergonomic assessments.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with environmental compliance including RCRA stormwater DOT.

  • Experience in managing EH&S issues in a union work environment.

  • Previous experience working at an OSHA VPP (Voluntary Protection Program) site.

  • Professional Certification in the EHS field (ASP CSP CIH etc.).

  • Must be able to work well independently and within a team environment

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

Clearance Information: This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS) an agency of the Department of Defense handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. More information about Security Clearances can be found on the US Department of State government website here: salary range for this role is 66000 USD 130000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.

This role is a role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
