POSITIONSUMMARY:
TheTeen and Family Coordinator position supports the work of the YMCA of CollierCounty Inc. a leading notforprofit organization committed to strengtheningthe communities in Collier County through its core focus areas of YouthDevelopment Healthy Living and Social Responsibility. In this role the individual will coordinateand manage activities events and programs throughout the year servicing teensand families. Some of which will beMiddle School Summer Travel Camp monthly family nights literacy eventsbirthday parties parents night out and any other events that may arise. The Teen & Family Coordinator willdirectly report to the Youth and Family Director.
This is a year round inperson position. Estimated 30 hours per week.
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS:
Administers leads and manages the totaloperation of teen and family programs at both branches including developingand monitoring the program budget to meet fiscal objectives; compiling programstatistics to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of and participation inthe program; securing scheduling and maintaining the needed facilities;creating and scheduling the activities or events; assuring staffing coverageand maintaining program records or files.
Ensures programs services meet community needsand quality programming requirements and to include supervising existingprogram activities establishing new program activities and expanding theprogram within the community as needed.
Coordinate manage and implement all aspects ofMiddle School Summer Travel Camp monthly family nights literacy eventsbirthday parties parents night out and any other events that may arise.
Assist with coordination planning andexecution of specific Youth & Family Department events throughout the yearas assigned.
Assists in the marketing and distribution ofprogram information.
Assures compliance with federal state andlocal regulations as they relate to program areas including ADA accommodationswhere appropriate; ensures that YMCA program standards are met and safetyprocedures followed.
Responsible for monitoring collection of feesand working with membership team to ensure all participants are registered.
Responsible for program plans and records toensure consistency with evidencebased best practices and policies arefollowed.
Must be able to manage a group motivate andinspire young people help them to engage in YMCA and
community activities encourage selfgovernanceand encourage positive teendriven decision making while maintaining a safe andvaluesdriven environment.
Responsible for effectively handling allemergency incidents and submitting proper documentation.
Must be able to fill in as a sub at any locationif appropriate coverage is not met.
Models relationshipbuilding skills in allinteractions; develops and maintains collaborative relationships with staffparents and community organizations to maximize program impact and driveoverall outcomes; maintains regular clear and concise communication withinarea of responsibility.
Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelorsdegree in related field or equivalent experience.
One totwo years related experience (e.g. supervisor or coordinator of teen or familyprograms)
Minimumage of 21.
YMCATeam Leader certification preferred.
Fulfillmentof statespecific hiring standards and completion of YMCA programspecifictraining.
Mustbe able to supervise coach and manage volunteers and teens. Must be able to supervise and instruct largegroups.
Knowledgeof event planning various activities and teen programming preferred.
Mustbe extremely organized task oriented flexible able to work under pressuremake assigned deadlines and be able to communicate effectively.
Mustbe knowledgeable and proficient with computer software programs.
Mustmeet YMCA driving criteria.
Abilityto relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economicsegments of the community.
