$55895.80 $83843.71The Project Specialist Insurance plays a critical support role within the Risk Management Services team of a healthcare organization. Reporting to the Manager of Insurance & Business Operations this position assists in managing insurance claims coordinating data for renewals and actuarial reviews and contributing to initiatives that promote a culture of safety. The Project Specialist collaborates closely with clinical administrative and external partners to support patient safety risk mitigation and regulatory compliance efforts.Insurance & Risk Management Support
Compile and analyze risk and claims data for use in insurance renewals actuarial reports internal reviews and executive board presentations.
Report new lawsuits claims and potential claims events (PCEs) to insurance carriers and ensure timely data entry and financial updates in the Riskonnect claims system.
Collect exposure data and documentation for healthcarerelated insurance policies (e.g. professional liability general liability cyber liability etc.).
Maintain compliance with state and federal reporting requirements including MMDCS (Mandatory Medical Data Collection System) and CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) reporting.
Project & Committee Coordination
Support and coordinate safetyrelated committees and initiatives such as Patient Safety Week the Culture of Safety program Violence in the Workplace initiatives and Lean projects.
Assist in organizing departmental and crossfunctional healthcare safety events and projects.
System Administration
Act as system administrator for Safety Intelligence and Riskonnect Claims Database.
Provide support and training to users ensure data integrity and assist with report generation from the systems.
Troubleshoot and escalate system issues as needed.
