DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role you will perform various technical responsibilities related to the inspection of materials and workmanship on highway construction projects within Engineering District 60. Your primary objective will be to ensure that all work adheres to the approved construction codes plans standards and specifications. You will be involved in inspecting all phases of transportation construction activities ensuring compliance at every stage.
Additionally you will assist in verifying grades elevations and the layout of structures and roadways in collaboration with contractors and surveyors. Your duties will also include inspecting the application of materials such as cement concrete bituminous concrete drainage materials and other relevant substances to guarantee quality and adherence to specifications.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Fulltime employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday Friday with a 30minute lunch.
- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- An associate degree in surveying drafting designing civil or any other appropriate field of engineering technology.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Other Requirements:- This particular position requires possession of a valid Class C Drivers License.
