Manager High Velocity Onboarding at Gusto
As the manager (People Empowerer) for our High Velocity Onboarding team youll be at the forefront of empowering a team of approximately 12 Junior Onboarding Associates to excel in their crucial role of guiding new prospects to choose and successfully onboard with Gusto. Youll have a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with Sales Leadership Product Enablement and other crossfunctional teams to identify key performance drivers and translate them into scalable enablement strategies. This role offers significant potential to innovate on training methodologies streamline onboarding processes for our internal team and directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our highvelocity customer acquisition efforts. In this role you will:
- Drive Tactical Performance Enablement: Lead and facilitate regular 1:1s with team members to understand individual needs provide targeted coaching and support their professional growth within the High Velocity environment.
- Champion Coaching and Mentoring: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by coaching team leads and individual contributors on effective onboarding techniques sales best practices (including the Sandler Selling System) and customer success strategies.
- Lead Team Meetings and Communication: Design and lead engaging team meetings developing presentations and organizing agenda topics that focus on skill development process updates and best practice sharing relevant to the highvelocity context.
- Collaborate Crossfunctionally to Solve Performance Gaps: Work closely with Sales Leadership Product Enablement and other teams to identify and address customer pain points and internal process inefficiencies that impact the Junior Onboarding teams performance.
- Develop Scalable Resources and Standardization: Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) training materials and quality assurance frameworks tailored to the highvelocity onboarding workflow to ensure consistency and drive efficiency.
- Analyze Performance Data and Identify Trends: Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) and other data sources to identify team and individual performance trends providing insights that inform enablement strategies and drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute to Onboarding and Ongoing Training Programs: Partner with the broader Enablement team to contribute to the design and delivery of onboarding programs for new Junior Onboarding Associates and ongoing training initiatives focused on product updates sales skills and customer engagement specific to the highvelocity environment.
- Support the Implementation of New Tools and Processes: Assist in the rollout and adoption of new tools and processes designed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the High Velocity Onboarding team.
What were looking for:
- Proven experience in a performance enablement training coaching or sales management role ideally within a highvelocity sales or customer onboarding environment.
- A strong understanding of sales methodologies (experience with Sandler Selling System is a plus) and customer onboarding best practices.
- Excellent coaching and mentoring skills with a demonstrated ability to develop talent and improve individual and team performance.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to identify performance trends and inform enablement strategies.
- Exceptional communication presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at 1 various levels.
- Experience in developing and implementing SOPs training materials and quality assurance processes.
- A proactive and resultsoriented mindset with a passion for driving continuous improvement in a fastpaced environment.
- Experience working collaboratively with crossfunctional teams.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent relevant experience.
Our annual compensation range for this role is $128000 to $142000 in Denver & most locations assuming performance expectations are met. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver San Francisco and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 23 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles Gustos subsidiary whose physical office is in Scottsdale.
Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.
