Position Description

Serco is seeking a Sr. Principal Military Trainer Program Technical Analyst (PTA) to join our team in McLean Virginia in support of the Army National Guard (ARNG) Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP). The selected candidate will work directly with the MCTSP Program Manager contributing expert guidance on training strategies and simulation systems required for mission command readiness at the strategic level.

In this role you will:

  • Provide direct support to the MCTSP Program Manager with expertise in mission command training strategies and simulation system integration.
  • Serve as part of a twoperson analyst team familiar with Combined Arms Training Strategy and Army training system requirements for mission readiness.
  • Support strategic ARNG MCTSP initiatives through planning execution and advisory analysis.
  • Assist with briefing materials white papers and special program reports aligned with Army mission training objectives.
  • Offer doctrinal and technical advisory support across various program activities.
  • Interface with the National Simulation Center (NSC) PEOSTRI and other enterprise stakeholders.
  • Travel as needed to coordinate with the National Guard Bureau in Arlington Virginia.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree with 10 years of combined Army staff experience including plans programs and strategic policy; OR
  • Masters degree with 8 years of combined Army staff experience at the strategic level.
  • Experience as a Division Commander with expertise in leadership training management and execution of largescale training exercises.
  • Active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Ability to work onsite in McLean Virginia.

  • Extensive knowledge of Army training strategies and readiness requirements.
  • Proven leadership in senior command roles.
  • Strong skills in strategic analysis program planning and staff coordination.
  • Ability to communicate complex operational and doctrinal concepts to various audiences.

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Experience collaborating with interagency and enterpriselevel defense organizations.
  • Familiarity with Army National Guard training environments and simulation support.
