At Catapult we are supporting our member The Blanchard Institute in their search for a Behavioral Health Clinical Manager primarily to work evening hours. This position will work onsite in Charlotte NC and the schedule will be: Monday Tuesday Thursday 12pm9m & Wednesday Friday 8am5pm.
Position Summary:
The Behavioral Health Clinical Manager oversees substance abuse treatment services and ensures the quality effectiveness and delivery of clinical services provided to patients. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements professional standards and facility policies.
The position requires strong independent decisionmaking skills and involves planning executing and monitoring clinical program initiatives. In collaboration with the Director of Clinical Services & System Operations the manager plays a key role in program development and administration to ensure the integrity and success of clinical services.
Additionally this role leads and trains clinical staff and interns ensuring adherence to policies maintaining high standards of patient care and continuously improving program delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Duties:
- Develop and maintain daily passdown sheets.
- Ensure compliance with licensure oversight through appropriate documentation.
- Audit charts and oversee corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the Compliance Officer on policy reviews and updates.
- Participate in senior committee meetings and leadership discussions.
- Address client and family concerns providing appropriate resolutions.
- Oversee the supervision and training of assessors alongside the Admissions Director.
Clinical Leadership:
- Supervise substance abuse clinicians and other clinical staff both individually and in groups.
- Conduct ongoing staff training sessions (monthly/quarterly).
- Provide onboarding training for clinical tools including Kipu Zoom Outlook Soberlink and lab portals.
- Monitor evaluate and provide feedback on clinician practices.
- Review and authorize incident reports related to patient care ensuring proper documentation.
- Strategically plan clinical coverage based on census needs.
- Lead therapeutic groups and lectures as needed.
- Supervise substance abuse clinicians and other clinical staff both individually and in groups.
- Carry a temporary caseload if required.
- Ensure proper handling of referral cases from admission to discharge.
- Develop and revise clinical policies and workflows.
- Oversee community presentations and workshops ensuring staff readiness.
- Assist in audits and preparations for CARF or Joint Commission accreditation.
Human Resources & Staff Development:
- Approve and monitor timecards and clinical stipends.
- Implement performance improvement plans and coaching strategies.
- Conduct 90day annual and adhoc performance evaluations.
- Lead the onboarding and training of new clinical team members.
- Participate in hiring processes including job postings interviews and candidate selection.
- Coordinate credential updates in Zen as clinicians progress.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Masters degree in a related field.
- Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker or Mental Health Counselor.
- 1 years of supervisory or management experience in a healthcare setting.
- CPR certification (current).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of leadership experience in a healthcare environment.
- 5 years of postgraduate experience specializing in chemical dependency treatment.
- Proficiency in group individual and family therapy including case management.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a fastpaced highstress environment.
