Job Description
Job Summary:
The Line Cook PM Position at New Albany Country Club is a fulltime hourly hospitality/restaurant job located in New Albany Ohio. This individual contributor role requires a skilled and experienced line cook who is passionate about creating highquality dishes and providing an exceptional dining experience for our members and guests. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fastpaced kitchen and a passion for culinary excellence.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $18 to $22 per hour paid biweekly. Additionally employees are eligible for benefits such as health insurance paid time off and a retirement savings plan.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook dishes according to club recipes and standards
Ensure that all dishes are cooked and presented to the highest standards of quality and freshness
Maintain a clean and organized workspace following all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Collaborate with the kitchen team to create daily specials and menu items
Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure appropriate stock is available for preparation
Assist with the training and development of new kitchen staff members
Follow all kitchen opening and closing procedures ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
Keep uptodate with industry trends and new cooking techniques
Communicate effectively with frontofhouse staff to ensure a smooth flow of service
Requirements:
Previous experience as a line cook in a professional kitchen
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks at once
Strong knife skills and understanding of various cooking techniques
Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Culinary degree or certification is a plus
