Role description:
Arcadisis seeking a Stormwater Project Engineer to joinour drainage practice in Metairie or Baton Rouge LA.
Under the direction of a Senior Stormwater Engineer you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that will challenge you and provide growth in your career.
Role accountabilities:
- Engineering design for numerous roadway drainage and designbuild projects including collector streets urban arterials rural and urban expressways interstates and bridge replacements across the southeast.
- Assist in all aspects of roadway drainage design including bridge hydraulic studies culvert design closed drainage system design post construction water quality structures design and erosion and sedimentation control.
- Prepare construction plans and project displays.
- Prepare cost estimates reports and technical memos.
- Utilize various design software including MicroStation Inroads GeoPak Open Roads AutoCAD Civil 3d Microsoft Excel GIS HECRAS HY8 FlowMaster Pond Pack StormCAD SMS SRH2D and HECRAS 2D to assist with the design and preparation of construction plans.
- Coordinate with project managers ecologist and roadway engineers.
- Direct junior engineers design activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications:
- 7 years of drainage design post degree and project management experience.
- Working knowledge of LADOTD standards and practices
- Bachelors degree in engineering
- Louisiana PE
Key Skills/Attributes:
- In depth understanding of Bridge Hydraulics Analysis.
- Knowledge of stormwater design including open channel conveyance and closed drainage systems.
- Knowledge of stormwater treatment using appropriate BMPs suitable for the linear nature of transportation projects (MS4 Water Quality).
- Use of various software platforms including Bentleys StormCAD CulvertMaster FlowMaster and Pond Pack HECRAS HECMS HY8 ICPR SWMM SMS SRH2D and HECRAS 2D.
- Possess good communication (written and verbal) teamwork skills and the flexibility to complete a wide range of tasks including field work.
- Exhibit the initiative and ability to tackle new projects and other challenges regularly.
- NCEES record a plus.

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors such as experience education budget internal equity project and location.
