Development Manager

Reports to: Sr Director of Operations

Annual Salary: $58000 $65000


The Development Manager plays a key role in building and sustaining donor relationships managing fundraising campaigns and supporting events volunteers and communications that drive revenue. The ideal candidate is highly organized donorcentered and passionate about making a social impact.


Grant Writing & Management:

Research identify and assist in applying for local state and national grant opportunities.

Assist in creation of compelling grant proposals letters of inquiry and reports for foundations corporations and government entities.

Manage grant compliance and reporting ensuring alignment with funder requirements and organizational objectives.

Maintain a grants calendar and track deadlines for applications reports and renewals.

Collaborate with program staff to gather data success stories and other materials to support grant proposals and reports.


Fundraising & Donor Engagement:

Support the execution of annual fundraising strategies to achieve revenue goals.

Maintain and manage the donor database (CRM) with a high level of accuracy ensuring timely data entry prompt acknowledgments and reporting including the Homeless Contribution Tax Credit.

Plan and coordinate fundraising campaigns such as Giving Tuesday Colorado Gives Day and other key annual initiatives with a focus on engaging and inspiring donors.

Assist in stewarding individual donors by fostering meaningful relationships hosting personalized tours of our sites and ensuring consistent and thoughtful followup.

Conduct donor research and support cultivation stewardship and recognition efforts to deepen donor engagement and boost retention.

Identify and pursue opportunities for corporate sponsorships and partnerships that align with our mission and provide shared value.


Communications & Marketing:

Assist in development and implementation of a strategic communications plan to increase public awareness and engagement.

Manage and create content for digital and print communications including newsletters social media website press releases and media outreach.

Oversee the design and production of marketing materials such as brochures annual reports and promotional videos.

Ensure brand consistency across all communication channels.

Manage community outreach and other administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

25 years of experience in nonprofit development fundraising or a related role particularly in carrying a portfolio of 200 donors up to $5000

Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and followthrough.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Comfortable with CRM databases (e.g. Salesforce Benevity YourCause Network for Good).

Ability to manage multiple projects prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

A collaborative spirit and a genuine commitment to social justice and equity.

Experience with Canva Adobe Suite Mailchimp SquareSpace and social media platforms


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in or alongside communities impacted by homelessness poverty or systemic inequity.

Understanding of traumainformed or equitycentered approaches to communication and fundraising.
