Position Description

Serco is seeking a Sr. Principal Military Trainer Mission Command Systems Training Lead to join our dedicated team supporting the Army National Guard (ARNG) Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP) at Gowen Field near Boise Idaho. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to worldclass military training operations and help shape the operational readiness of our nations forces.

In this role you will:

  • Supervise a team of Individual Computer Based Trainers and ensure students receive worldclass instruction in accordance with approved Programs of Instruction (POIs).
  • Provide reachback support for Individual Training staff at spoke sites.
  • Ensure all Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS) are loaded with the latest software versions and that all individual training equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
  • Manage the scheduling of courses and oversee crosstraining and professional development of the team.
  • Prepare MCIS briefing material for the supported Mission Command Training audience.
  • Ensure the team is prepared to support various simulation exercises using WARSIM and other simulation systems.
  • Provide support for exercises through over the shoulder MCIS support.
  • Assist in the training of all supported classes.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree with a minimum of 10 years of MCIS teaching experience or
  • Masters degree with a minimum of 8 years of MCIS teaching experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years Command Post Operations experience.
  • Must possess an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
  • Extensive experience with performing Training Development Analysis writing Plans of Instruction and Technical Writing.
  • Analytical subject matter expertise on the CPCE and Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS) Integration in support of Mission Command Training.
  • Strong background with integration of various MCIS including CPCE Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS) Air and Missile Defense Workstation (AMDWS) Tactical Airspace Integration System (TAIS) Global Command and Control System Army (GCCSA) Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS) Command Web Tactical Messaging WAVE and Joint Battle Command Platform (JBCP).
  • Working knowledge of simulation systems supporting MCIS course instruction and exercise support including JLCCTC and DXTRS.
  • May be required to obtain Network certification depending on Mission Command Information System expertise.
  • Must be able to travel as needed (up to 25% of the time).
  • Must be able to work onsite at Gowen Field near Boise Idaho.

  • Excellent analytical technical writing and instructional abilities.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Proficiency in managing simulation environments to support military training.
