How youll contribute
We are seeking a detailoriented and highly organizedConstruction Accounting Data Entry Clerkto join our accounting team. In this role you will be responsible for accurately entering financial and projectrelated data for construction projects into our accounting system. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills a basic understanding of accounting principles and prior experience in the construction or related industry. You will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting department.
Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately input financial transactions into the accounting software and monitor data entry reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Accurately enter invoices purchase orders subcontractor payments and job cost details.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized records of financial transactions and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with project managers and accounting staff to ensure accurate and timely data entry.
  • Support other accounting tasks as assigned.
  • Verify the accuracy of data before entry.
  • Maintain detailed records of tasks files and progress.
  • Track and maintain documents and receipts for financial operations.
  • Support the accounting staff with ad hoc tasks as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with data integrity and security policies.
What youll bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.
  • 1 years of data entry experience preferably in the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (eg Viewpoint Sage or similar) and Microsoft Office.
  • Speed and accuracy with an eye for detail and familiarity with spreadsheets.
  • Understanding basic accounting principles.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial information.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of construction job costing is a plus.
