Job Description
Accountabilities of SPINs Director of Residential Services :
- Supports and coaches Assisting Directors in their professional development and the provision of bestpractices outcomesoriented and direct support for people.
- Actively participates with team at ISP meetings in developing personcentered Person Support Plans (ISPs) supervising and assuring all aspects of the plan are implemented.
- Manages the resources and budget within the assigned scope of responsibility assuring efficiency and quality standards are achieved.
- Maintains open communication with families and other team members.
- Assures full compliance with the DHS regulations that apply.
- Ensures the continuity of care within Residential Services.
- Comply with all timelines and processes to meet the needs of the department and organization.
- Assists the Division Director in achievement of organizational goals and outcomes.
- Maintains the general safety cleanliness and maintenance of the homes assigned in collaboration with Real Property.
- Oversees the completion timeliness and accuracy of any and all documentation related to their caseload.
The Tools You Need
- Bachelor Degree in Psychology Special Education or a related field.
- Knowledgeable of DPW 6400 regulations and ODP requirements
- Two years supervisory experience working directly with adults with intellectual disabilities.
- Valid drivers license own vehicle and insurance.
Expectations:
- Excellent oral & written communication skills.
- Ability to work with a variety of people in various settings.
- Patience and flexibility is a must.
- Proficient in MS Office and/or other Windows based programs.
- Holds all employees accountable to SPIN standards and position performance expectations.
- Maintains a high level of professionalism at all times in accordance with the expectations set forth in the Residential Services Directors Plan.
- Flexible hours to meet the needs of each team home person and their support requirements in a 24/7 365 environment.
