PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR (MechE) will provide complex administrative support to the Department Head (DH) and the MechE leadership team; be the key contact for MechE headquarters and related operations; provide proactive management of daytoday operations in headquarters for the Department at the direction of the DH; and implement and oversee special projects aligned with MechE headquarters administrative operations strategic plans and priority initiatives such as the Initiative for New Manufacturing.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: Bachelors degree with a minimum of three years of administrative operations program management or related experience; robust organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to handle a fastpaced multitask work environment with changing priorities and limited supervision; excellent project management skills and attention to detail; robust writing skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of faculty staff and students both verbally and in writing; ability to use highlevel discretion maintain confidentiality and provide highquality customer service; experience with managing complex calendars travel arrangements and coordinating logistics for meetings and events; advanced technical and computer skills to support administrative functions including Microsoft Office Suite Adobe Acrobat and shared document environments such as SharePoint Dropbox Google docs. PREFERRED: Experience in a Higher Education Institution; experience working with faculty and across large departments/centers; and MIT experience. Job #249598
