Job Title: Associate Scientist / Scientist Assay & Analytics
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Scientist / Scientist to join our Assay & Analytics team. In this role you will collaborate on the development and implementation of highthroughput (HTP) screening methods and workflows playing a critical role in advancing our product pipeline and technological capabilities in synthetic biology. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of technical expertise and strategic thinking particularly in assay/method development and automation for HTP screening
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with analytics team on development validation and execution of analytical methods for detecting and quantifying target molecules in engineered microorganisms (e.g. yeast and E. coli).
- Provide analytical support across multiple R&D programs ensuring timely delivery of highquality data.
- Collaborate with scientists to conduct weekly HTP screening workflows including reagent/sample preparation extractions and analysis using HPLC/UPLC and GC with detection methods such as MS DAD and FID (Rapid FireMS experience is a plus).
- Drive optimization of protocols for HTP workflows and analytical method development.
- Apply a broad range of analytical techniques to assess fermentation samples and characterize microbial strains.
- Supervise data processing and analysis to ensure accurate highquality results that support ongoing research efforts.
- Operate maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation including HPLC/UPLC GCMS LCMSexperience with Agilent and Thermo Q Exactive systems is a plus.
- Work with lab automation systems (e.g. Bravo) and maintain calibration of standard laboratory equipment (incubators shakers etc.).
- Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance lab efficiency and data quality.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of laboratory work including SOPs and workflow specifications.
- Communicate findings clearly across teams and stakeholders including scientists and management.
- Lead data processing and ensure timely reporting of results to crossfunctional teams.
- Utilize LIMS tools such as Benchling to track experimental data and workflows.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
- Comfortable presenting complex scientific data to multidisciplinary audiences.
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety and good laboratory practices.
- Skilled in documentation record keeping and writing technical reports and SOPs.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving project needs.
- Proactive selfmotivated and able to work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work with team members across multiple disciplines including molecular biology computational biology and fermentation.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team setting.

Education & Experience
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemistry Biochemistry Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of handson experience with analytical instrumentation and lab automation in an industrial setting (Biotech Pharma or Life Sciences).
- Proven experience with mass spectrometry and working in highthroughput environments (Rapid FireMS is a plus).
- Experience with ELN/LIMS systems and datadriven workflows for small molecule or natural product production

Physical Requirements:
