The Role

Cash App is seeking a Behavioral Insights Fraud Analyst to join our dynamic Behavioral Insights Team. As a Fraud Analyst you will develop your analytical and problemsolving skills while working with structured and unstructured data sets to identify trends anomalies and inauthentic behaviors across Cash App accounts and products. This position offers opportunities to learn and grow under experienced team guidance while requiring independent precise decisionmaking with strong attention to detail.

This position will collaborate closely with teammates and interact with various organizations within the business such as Data Science Machine Learning Modeling Engineering Product Business Operations Risk Operations Compliance and more. You will contribute to Cash Apps fraud detection efforts and learn to influence fraud prevention programs and processes.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical aptitude and effective communication skills. This role requires a selfmotivated individual who can balance analytical rigor with operational efficiency while maintaining high standards of quality in risk management.

They should be eager to learn adaptable and ready to work in a fastpaced environment.

You Will

  • Learn to identify and understand customer behaviors and distinguish between authentic and inauthentic activity within Cash Apps ecosystem
  • Develop knowledge in riskadjacent behaviors including disputes banking features and identity and understand their impact on Cash App
  • Assist in investigating and analyzing data sets to help resolve business challenges and identify potential improvements
  • Apply analytical expertise to assess risk factors within product offerings
  • Support internal business teams in identifying emerging fraud trends and understanding potential customer impact from risk controls
  • Communicate effectively with internal partners and team members while developing professional relationships
  • Gain experience in managing multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail
  • Contribute to a culture of professionalism accountability collaboration and innovation while developing expertise in risk controls
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

You Have

  • 2 years of risk analytics or fraud detection experience in the financial services or technology sector.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication with a demonstrated ability to document findings and explain complex issues on clear accessible terms
  • Possesses Strong attention to detail
  • Experience working with teams across countries and time zones
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking and problemsolving capabilities
  • Flexibility to adapt and manage multiple assignments independently
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges

Technologies We Use and Teach

  • Technical or procedural writing experience as plus
  • Experience working with machine learning teams
  • SQL experience or eagerness to learn
