Job Description
The ideal candidate will not only be a highly energetic and dynamic individual committed to creating opportunities for students in the health care industry but will also be passionate about working with adolescents collaborating with school and district colleagues and creating strong ties with the community. Possessing the ability to work with a team is an essential characteristic for this position.
Required Qualifications:
- CTE License in Health Sciences or the equivalent
- Advanced Health Service Certification preferred
- Experience in Health Care Service Industry with emphasis in direct patient care preferred
- Experience in teaching Health Occupations at the HS level or above
- Ability to work collaboratively with district level colleagues as well as postsecondary personnel
- Curriculum development based on health care/service industry standards
- Willingness to serve as the HOSA Advisor
Courses to be taught:
- Health Occupations Dual credit course introducing students to the field of Health Occupations and Medical Terminology
- Sports Medicine Course designed to introduce students to the basics of athletic training
- Nutrition and Wellness Course designed to develop a deep understanding of how to be physically mentally socially and emotionally healthy.
- First Aide and Beyond Dual credit course designed to provide students with medical first aide certification
Primary Function:
To plan organize and implement an appropriate instructional program as designated by the Klamath County School District in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential
Preference will be given to candidates willing to coach and advise extracurricular opportunities available.

Physical ability to adhere to OSHA and district safety regulations
Position to begin in the 2025/2026 school year
COMPENSATION:
- 190 day contract
- Family medical dental and vision insurance
- 6% PERS paid by District
- $/Annual 2024/2025 school year (2025/2026 salary is dependent upon negotiations)
