The Chief Investment Office (CIO) is a major strategic partner to many other departments across the enterprise and relies upon a collaborative culture to effectively create both micro and macro solutions to the most interesting challenges at Prudential. The CIO is responsible for asset liability management (ALM) interest rate risk management oversight and reporting on product investment margin performance and related hedge management activities. The CIO controls the management of the investment portfolios of Prudentials General Accounts through its Global Portfolio Management Prudential Select Strategies Global Investment Strategy Quantitative Investment Strategy and Global Hedge Management teams.


The Quantitative Investment Strategy Groups Portfolio Analysis team is responsible for conducting market and portfolio analysis as well as for designing models and performing quantitative analysis to develop ALM solutions. The team works closely with asset managers (e.g. PGIM GHM and Prudential Select Strategies) and utilizes external market data platforms to provide capital markets insights to portfolio strategists the Actuarial department and ALM Finance.

The current employee work arrangement for this position is Hybrid and requires your onsite presence 3 days a week.

What you can expect:
Conduct investment research utilizing external platforms (e.g. Bloomberg JPM Markets and Barclays Live) for portfolio managers use in relative value strategic and tactical asset allocation decisions
Perform statistical analysis to create new or apply existing algorithms to analyze portfolio and capital market data
Collaborate with the Corporate Actuarial department to develop longterm capital market and economic assumptions used in Actuarial product pricing
Improve the CIOs Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) model
Automate and simplify the CIOs performance attribution model
Assist with the construction of replicating portfolios for estimating Prudentials liabilities capital market sensitivities
Respond to ad hoc requests from senior management internal inquiries from the CIO and other corporate functions as well as inquiries regarding the enterprises market data needs
Enhance controls governance and documentation around key processes

What youll need:
Undergraduate Bachelors Degree required preferably in a highly quantitative discipline (e.g. mathematics engineering computer science economics etc.)
Exceptional programming skills and familiarity with languages such as Python is preferred
Relevant knowledge and coursework in mathematics engineering fixed income finance economics and the capital markets
Experience with major data sources such as Bloomberg Terminal and other platforms
Basic knowledge of statistical techniques interest rate models finance and a working knowledge of multiasset class capital markets
Familiarity with tools for data management and visualization (e.g. Tableau and Excel Charts)
Strong written oral communication and interpersonal skills
Interest in artificial intelligence machine learning and neural networks
