Princeton High School NNDCC is seeking a highly motivated professional energetic certified Senior Naval Science Instructor. The SNSI Applicant must be willing to work after school evenings weekends and holidays as necessary to support the many unit events and activities as well as school and community events. The program is continuing to grow and enjoys outstanding support from the District and School Administration. Extracurricular programs include armed and unarmed drill color guard academic and physical fitness competition teams. The instructor is on a 12month contract. Texas as a whole is very military friendly and enthusiastically embraces the NJROTC/NNDCC units throughout.
Education/Certification:
Bachelors degree from accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI)
Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
Physical Education Teachers: Current automated external defibrillator (AED) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certificate
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Retired Navy (20 years experience)
Student teaching approved internship or related work experience
Other
Direct the work of assigned instructional aide(s).
Tools/Equipment Used: Personal computer and peripherals; standard instructional equipment;P.E. teachers: automated external defibrillator (AED)
