Job Description
Global Property & Casualty Provider seeks an experienced Senior Data Engineer with a strong technical background and deep understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance data. In this role you will lead the design and development of scalable data solutions that serve as the foundation for enterprise analytics and decisionmaking. You will help establish a single source of truth in our data lakehouse and deliver powerful data visualizations that enable stakeholders to uncover insights and take action.
As a senior leader within the data engineering team you will be responsible for architecting designing and implementing complex data pipelines modeling highquality data sets and applying data engineering best practices. You ll also mentor other team members and help define our longterm data strategy.
Responsibilities:
Architect and implement endtoend data pipelines from ingestion to transformation storage and consumption.
Build and maintain reliable analysisready data infrastructure supporting scalable business intelligence and analytics.
Apply modern data modeling techniques to support downstream reporting and analytical use cases.
Ensure highquality data delivery by validating and testing at each stage of the pipeline.
Drive adoption of engineering best practices including CI/CD code reviews and version control.
Take ownership of key data engineering initiatives and ensure timely highquality delivery. Data Analysis & Reporting
Partner with analysts and business stakeholders to develop and refine reporting solutions and dashboards using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Perform exploratory analysis to uncover patterns and trends that support strategic decisions.
Deliver clear actionable insights that tie data to real business problems and opportunities.
Leverage knowledge of P&C insurance data (e.g. policies claims underwriting) to guide data modeling and transformation efforts.
Translate insurance concepts into accurate and meaningful metrics.
Experience with insurance platforms such as Guidewire is a plus
Perform exploratory analysis identify trends and patterns and draw conclusions from data sets
Extract complex data from multiple sources into usable and meaningful reports and analysis
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in MIS business administration statistics computer science or related field preferred.
10 years of experience as a Data Engineer Data Analyst BI Analyst or equivalent work experience
Property and Casualty Insurance Experience Required
Proven experience designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and models
Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation
Proficiency in data warehousing and ETL/ELT processes
Experience working with Azure cloud (ADF ADLS Data Fabric etc.)
Experience with BI tools like Power BI Tableau
Knowledge of database architectures and data modeling
Familiar with software engineering practices such as version control with Git Testing and CI/CD
