Job Description
We are seeking a speechlanguage pathologist to serve a mix of patients from our acute care floors (ICU neuro trauma and med/surg) and those admitted to our 21bed Rehabilitation Center our CARFaccredited Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility. Experience in stroke brain injury and/or complex medical conditions is preferred. Experience facilitating and interpreting video fluoroscopic swallow studies preferred. Experience with evaluation of speaking and swallowing for those with tracheostomy is preferred but not required. We work collaboratively as an interdisciplinary team so strong problem solving and communication skills are needed. This is a flex position with 3 8hour days (Tues Wed and Fridays) and 2 half days (Mondays and Thursdays 812:30). If volume/demand allows half day hours will be extended.
Work Schedule:
- Tuesday Wednesday Friday 84:30
- Monday & Thursdays 812:30 with ability to flex to 4:30 based on volume/demand
- Every 6th weekend rotation
- Holiday rotation
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Masters or Doctoral degree in Speech Language Pathology.
- Licensed/registered/certified with applicable governing Speech Language Pathology board(s) and Minnesota Department of Health.
- CPR Certification (Basic Life Support).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in similar setting/diagnoses
- Advanced certification and/or licensure to support position.
