This hybrid role offers a great balance of home and office working. Youll join your colleagues in your local office at least 2/3 days a week.

Joining us as a NOC Operations Engineer 12m FTC

As a NOC Operations Engineer youll install maintain monitor and troubleshoot customer and core network services including routers circuits firewalls and servers. From our Network Operations Centre youll oversee critical infrastructure swiftly addressing issues to ensure high service availability. Youll also support managed services for business customers resolving escalated issues efficiently.

Youll receive a salary of up to 48000 a performance related bonus and a range of benefits to support you across your financial physical and mental wellbeing.

This is some of what you can expect to be doing:

  • Installing maintaining and troubleshooting network infrastructure including routers circuits firewalls and servers
  • Proactively monitoring network performance using advanced monitoring tools identifying faults and taking action to resolve them
  • Responding to alerts from core links and addressing network issues promptly to maintain uptime
  • Managing escalated issues from the Tech Support Centre (TSC) for investigation and resolution
  • Supporting managed services for business customers ensuring seamless connectivity and reliability
  • Coordinating with field engineers for handson troubleshooting when required

What youll bring to the role

Youll be a proactive and technically skilled network engineer with handson experience in monitoring and maintaining highperformance network environments. Youll also have:

  • Experience with Cisco IOS and IP routing protocols (e.g. BGP ISIS)
  • Proven background in 1st/2nd Line Network Support and Data Centre environments
  • Strong understanding of BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) and its role in network routing
  • The ability to monitor identify and resolve network issues swiftly and effectively
  • Excellent communication skills to handle escalations and collaborate with internal teams

Qualifications :

CCNA or equivalent Juniper/Nokia certification
ITIL Foundation or higher qualification
Experience with multivendor environments (Juniper/Nokia/Cisco MPLS)
Exposure to GPON XGSPON Ethernet Firewalls SoGEA/DSL and related technologies
