The Role
Edelman Londons awardwinning Technology practice is looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Account Executive to join its growing team. This is an opportunity for a smart mediahungry AAE with a passion for technology to work on some of the worlds most exciting technology brands. Our enviable client list includes the likes of Samsung HP AMD Infosys Zendesk and Kraken.
This role is ideal for a candidate who wants to accelerate their career working on one of the worlds most iconic technology brands working within a global team at Edelman that is constantly looking at ways to raise the bar for our clients.
What will the right person for this role do
- Support with regional communications programmes and campaigns
- This role is focused on supporting the clients communications campaigns across EMEA rather than being solely focused on UK campaign execution
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local Edelman and affiliate agency teams across the region media on the clients behalf
- Support with implementing region wide client campaigns across the business supporting the local agencies with execution in market
- Drive proactive media relations daytoday
- Be able to identify relevant target media for news and stories
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with influential media on the clients behalf
- Proactively identify media opportunities for the client in national and broadcast media as well as technology trades
- Support on daytoday client activity
- Build strong relationships with clients and colleagues through professional and social networking opportunities
- Have solid experience in writing edit and proofreading materials including press releases media pitches fact sheets and client correspondence
- Use initiative to get tasks done and work independently but know when to ask for help
- Become the category/competitive expert
- Provide clients reports that include analysis of PR programmes indicators of future coverage and competitor analysis
- Track and analyse monthly coverage from PR efforts and develop clear and concise written analysis on insights best practice and solutions to continually improve results
Skills & Experience
- You will be curious and eager to learn. You will listen ask questions and learn from your mistakes. You will demonstrate a thirst for knowledge. You will be smart and insight driven with good organisation and time management skills.
- Your writing will be of a highquality standard and attention to detail will be a key strength.
- You will be passionate about both technology and working with international colleagues on global campaigns.
