Job Description
CareKW is looking for skilled and reliable nurses to join our Nursing Team to provide care in a homecare environment.

Location: New Hamburg
Hours 1:00pm 8:00pm (Weekends)

Role Includes:
- Medication administration
- Perform physical patient assessments
- Perform patient and family health teaching
- Monitor assess and document changes in the patients condition
- Assist with activities of daily living
- Collaborate with the interprofessional healthcare team to determine and implement the patient plan of care
- Additional opportunities as assigned by Nursing Supervisor
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current registration with the College of Nurses candidate must be in good standing
- Experience with GTube Care and feed is required
- Tracheostomy and ventilation care experience is considered an asset
- Experience in community nursing is considered an asset
- Valid work/study permit (if applicable)
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification
- Vulnerable Sector Screening (within 3 months of hire)
- Uptodate Immunization Records (MMR TDAP Varicella Hep B COVID19)
- Excellent documentation skills
- Ability to follow client care plan
- Strong communication skills
- Strong problemsolving skills
- Excellent patient service skills
- Reliable transportation
- Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle is considered an asset
