Position Overview
Sunnybrook Foundation is seeking a proactive and competent major gift fundraising professional and relationship manager to serve as the Senior Philanthropy Officer supporting Sunnybrooks Odette Cancer Program. The Senior Philanthropy Officer will manage and grow a diverse portfolio of 100125 prospects donors and volunteers developing engagement strategies and solicitation plans in support of the Hospitals strategic priorities.
With a passion for healthcare philanthropy experience building credibility and trusting relationships and an appreciation for the complexity of the hospital environment the ideal candidate will work alongside the Philanthropy Director to develop mutually beneficial partnerships with physicians nurses allied health professionals and other subject matter experts and be skilled at coaching and engaging them in all aspects of philanthropy.
Motivated by the opportunity to inspire lasting support the Senior Philanthropy Officer will be an effective communicator that is skilled at articulating cases for support that compel donors to take action securing philanthropic support towards hospital priorities and advancing Sunnybrooks overall vision for cancer care.
As an individual who leads with integrity fosters a collaborative culture and demonstrates a growth mindset the Senior Philanthropy Officer will be a contributing member of the Philanthropy Team and subscribe to Sunnybrook Foundations one team one goal philosophy. They will be driven to achieve their personal and program team goals while being accountable to the entire Sunnybrook Foundation team.
Sunnybrook Foundation is focused on the strategic shifts required to unlock the potential of the organization by extending and deepening our values driven culture maximizing our fundraising performance transforming the donor experience and boldly showcasing Sunnybrooks local to global leadership. We are growing our team of fundraisers dedicated to raising support for the Odette Cancer Program and making strategic investments in developing a multiyear fundraising plan to increase overall philanthropic support for patients with cancer and their families.

The hiring range for this position is $. The salary will be determined based on the successful candidates years of experience qualifications and competencies that are relevant to this position.
In addition to salary our competitive compensation package also includes comprehensive health and dental benefits HOOPP (Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan) hybrid work environment with a minimum of two (2) days in office two (2) float days each fiscal year and additional Sunny Days (long weekend closures in advance of summer long weekends and Christmas Eve).
