A rare and highly soughtafter opportunity has become available at Montefiore Residential Aged Care for an experienced health professional to join our dynamic team as anOral Health Therapist.
The Role:
We are seeking a passionate Oral Health Therapist to join our team at Hunters Hill. In this role you will work closely with the existing Oral Health Therapist based at Randwick as well as with mobile dental van contractors to deliver highquality patientfocused care across diverse settings. Reporting to the Director of Professional Services youll provide preventive and therapeutic treatments as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting aged care residents individuals living with dementia and those with complex medical needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments and develop personalised care plans for a wide range of patients
- Deliver preventive and therapeutic dental treatments (including scaling and cleaning fluoride application basic restorative treatments and oral health education).
- Collaborate closely with mobile dental service contractors to ensure a consistent and high standard of care.
- Provide ongoing patient management and followup ensuring all oral health needs are met especially for patients with complex medical histories.
- Educate patients staff and their families on best practices for maintaining optimal oral health particularly in the aged care setting.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Keep accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including using D4W software.
Skills and Experience:
- Prior experience working in a mobile dental environment is highly regarded
- Strong background in aged care and dementia support is highly desirable

Essential Criteria:
- Current and unrestricted registration with AHPRA
- Current and unrestricted professional indemnity insurance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and in a team setting
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
- Effective time management and organisational skills
