Job Description
Hearst Television (HTV) seeks a visionary designer with exceptional design and organizational expertise to lead and inspire within our internal design group as Senior Designer.
Working closely with HTVs Design Manager (DM) this position is responsible for creating and implementing both groupwide design solutions and customized approaches that address the unique needs of individual TV station role also involves mentoring a team of designers to integrate these solutions and assets into impactful news marketing sales and digital designs across our 35 local stations and two local radio stations. This inperson position reports to the HTV Design office located Winter Park FL.
Job Responsibilities
- Create custom graphics for local markets aligning with station brands and groupshared products
- Design motion digital and print assets supporting station brands and digital initiatives
- Collaborate on the rollout of templates and motion toolkits
- Assist in organizing and cataloging branded collateral such as signage vehicle wraps and contribute to finding patterns supporting standardized design templates
Experience Requirements
- Success in designing and animating motion graphics for newscasts series or streaming enhancing audience engagement and brand recognition
- Experience working in collaborative environments contributing to efficient workflows and team success
- Managing designs to support marketing editorial and production objectives including creating presentations that showcase the design process and effectively engage and support project stakeholders
- Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite and experience with 3D software like Cinema 4D and Viz Artist
Qualification Requirements
- Expertise in visualization conceptualization motion design layout typography color theory photography and both 2D and 3D animation
- A portfolio showcasing problemsolving expertise and the application of current design trends to deliver positive results
- Strong skills in articulating design rationale and process to creative teams and editorial management
- Willing mentor with a collaborative approach to drive team growth and performance
- Aspiring leader who has shown ability to successfully deliver team projects by collaborating and motivating colleagues and aligning with client goals
- Related military experience will be considered
